Count the Kicks participated in Mercy Medical Center's Stork Affair, held in Des Moines on September 19th.  Staffed by Count the Kicks volunteers, we were able to reach out to over 1000 expectant parents.  Volunteers were thrilled to hear feedback from women regarding the success of the campaign, many saying that they recognized the materials from their doctor's offices or had seen news coverage about the campaign.  Much thanks Mercy and to the many expectant parents who stopped by to learn more!

 In July 2009 we held our first brainstorm session with  group of women who had expressed an interest in volunteering for the Count the Kicks campaign.  These "Count the Kicks Ambassadors," many of whom had experienced losses themselves, provided vital feedback and fresh ideas for moving the campaign forward.  Many thanks to these wonderful women for giving of their time and talents!

Count the Kicks participated in the 2009 Iowa Perinatal Conference, held April 8th-9th in West Des Moines.  This valuable forum allowed volunteers to share campaign materials with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals from across Iowa.

Count the Kicks was thrilled to partner with a group of fantastic students in the Drake University School of Journalism during the Fall of 2010.
