Grant Funding

Healthy Birth Day has been awarded a 2010 March of Dimes Community Grant to further expand outreach efforts to Iowa's maternal health care medical providers and non-traditional providers of women's health services, such as WIC offices.  In addition, grant funding will allow Healthy Birth Day to provide Count the Kicks patient brochures in Spanish and to distribute an educational DVD and training guide to childbirth educators throughout Iowa.

We are grateful to the donors and volunteers who support the March of Dimes. Their donations and participation in events like March for Babies make this grant, Count the Kicks and other valuable programs and research possible.

“The March of Dimes Iowa Chapter is proud to support Count the Kicks. This innovative campaign has the potential to have a significant impact on the health of mothers and babies in Iowa and it aligns with our commitment to saving babies’ lives."

-Jessica Phillips, State Director of Program Services for the March of Dimes Iowa Chapter.

Healthy Birth Day Founding Partners, Kate Safris, Janet Petersen, Kerry Biondi-Morlan, and Tiffan Yamen accept the 2010 March of Dimes Grant from March of Dimes State Director of Program Services, Jessica Phillips.

Healthy Birth Day is a recipient of a 2010 Principal Financial Community Grant.  Grant funding will allow for an increased web presence for Count the Kicks, including additional outreach using social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.
